Q: Where is the starting location?

A: Along Harbor Drive next to the Great Lakes Aquarium and Bayfront Festival Park. Click on the following link for directions to the race start: Directions to Start

 

Q: Where can I park before the event?

A: There will be parking available at Bayfront Festival Park. Parking is also available at the DECC (small parking fee applies) located next to the starting location and at the Great Lakes Aquarium (small parking fee applies).

 

Q. I’m an elite/professional runner. How do I apply for a complimentary entry?

A. Send your running resume via bayfrontroadrace@gmail.com. All professional/elite runners will be considered for complimentary entries.

 

Q. Will there be a place that I can put my belongings during the race?

A. Yes, there will be a storage place for personal belonging before the race. We recommend that you bring only what you need however to the race start location.

 

Q. Are dogs allowed on the course?

A. No.

 

Q. Can I wear an MP3 player during the event?

A. No. All USATF sanctioned events strictly prohibit use of audible music devices. Enjoy the music on the course!

 

Q. How many aid stations are on the course?

A. There will be a water/aid station every mile.

 

Q. What is at the aid/water stations?

A. Water and an electrolyte/sports drink.

 

Q. I have a medical condition that may prevent me from finishing the race or need extra attention, should I register for the event?

A. For your own safety and the safety of others please consult your doctor before participating in this event.

 

Q. Is there a cap for registration?

A. There is no cap on registration.

 

Q. My family or friends are going to be watching me race. What is available for spectators to do before and after the event?

A. There are many great spots to watch the race. Runners go past the corner of Canal Park Dr. and Commerce St. three times. As well the finish area is a great place to watch the race and hang out. Bayfront Park includes a big open park and big playground for kids.

 

Q. What is at the finishing expo?

A. There will be music, food, water, and product from Duluth Running Co. and other vendors.
